The Constitution Party is to the "right" of the LP when it comes to social issues. See their platform plank on pornography and gambling.

Have you read the blog enty The Party of Ron Paul.

The main differnece, as I see it is that Libertarians believe in the Constitution and want to impose it on the government so that citizens can live freely. Constitutionalists want to limit the freedom of government as well as impose conservative viewpoints on the citizens. I am personally a conservative, but do not believe I have to get everyone else to live by my rules.

What good is a message if few people know what it is.I could walk down the street and ask,What do you think of the libertarian party ? and i doubt more than 2 out of 100 would have ever heard of it.Very few people that i know would register for a third party. Here in hudson county you are either a democrat or you are a nobody. The republicans barely exist.A third party would have to do alot of work and have alot of money to get noticed. The only fights are between different democrat factions. The gop just hangs around to pick up a few scraps.

Unfortunately it is the same in my area. Republicans aren't even competitive. They are also completely unwilling to work with us to take down the Dems. We have to get our message out. Some think that running candidate is our best way to do this. Others lean more towards the LP being a sort of "educational" organization concentrating on advertising and public advocacy. Personally I think running canidates gives us something to talk about, but our candidates will never be successful unless we really work hard on the civic education aspect.

Hi, this is my first post here by the way, I am actually registered to the Reform Party. I lean to the LP on some issues, but on other lean to the Green Party. I was just looking to see how it is going, make some contacts, and through various events learn about the LP in a whole.

I was a Mike Gravel supporter through out the primaries and donated money to his campaign. Watched the LP convention, the whole thing, on CSPAN, and have talked to a few members of the party.

So if anybody has any questions just ask away.

I am 19 male from Bergen County if you wanted any specifics about me.
