Ron Paul revolution in New Jersey 7 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: -7
With the defeat of Murray Sabrin and the candadates he supported it looks like nj is not a libertarian state. In New Jersey many people live from government programs. They will not support a candadate or party that would end these programs.Dr Sabrin did get 14% of the vote. I did not think he would get more then 10%.New Jersey does not appear to be a state where the libertarian message will prosper. If the lp throws money into NJ in this campaign it will be throwing money away.

Sabrin spent the entire campaign tring to see how many people he could convince not to vote for him.In this he did a great job. He even talked Steve Lonegan out of voting for him. This is the ron paul leader who is going to take over the nj gop? I really donot think so.He is just a big joke. Here he is just like his beloved leader rp, who spends alot of time making a fool of himself. I hope this pulls my karma to at least a -10. I want to be the first one to go below a -50.

One good thing that Ron Paul has accomplished is opening many citizen's eyes to the idea that the size and scope of the government really could be reduced. I've heard a lot of people say they were only turned off of Dr. Paul when he would go on rants about the Federal Reserve and other topics that most voters just have no comprehension (or even awareness) of. One thing we all have to keep in mind is that before we ever get a libertarian President, we have to grow the party nationally and exponentially. Any publicity is good publicity at this point.

Ì used to be on here a few years ago.
I do not feel comfortable with Barr.
He has been moving over to Lib ideas for a few years now, but I lived in Georgia while he was in office. I not sure what he has to do to gain my trust, but as for now I will be writing in Ron Paul in my absentee ballot. I have a few days to rethink it, but I doubt I will change my mind.

Write in votes are a waste of your time. They are not even reported. Look at 2004 NJ Presidential Results, they don't even bother reporting the number of write in votes, let alone who the write in votes were for.
