Affordable Housing For Whom? 2 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 1
This thread discusses the Content article: Affordable Housing For Whom?

The state tries to impose affordable housing on towns. Meanwhile the fed is doing the opposite by bailing out homeowners who can't afford their overpriced homes. What a waste of time and resources.

If government just kept out, the howeowners would sell (at a loss), their homes would be put on the market at reduced prices and housing prices would come down to realistic levels.

See AngryRenter.com and the LP Press Release on mortgage bailouts.

Affordable housing is just another way for the state to take money for dumb projects it cannot afford.Contractors will just stop building in this state and go else where. This will bring a loss of jobs and higher taxes for the rest of us.Great job gov.,You are single handedly destroying what is left of this state.

That's why his approval rating was 37% last time I checked. I believe the Legislature had a cool 30% approval rating.

It's no accident that capitalism has brought with it progress, not merely in production but also in knowledge. Egoism and competition are, alas, stronger forces than public spirit and sense of duty.
