Another Ridiculous Crime
The first thing that came to mind when reading this post is that it's very
normal for someone with insulin-dependent diabetes to be traveling with hypodermic syringes, especially if that person is going to be out for some period of time (and/or expecting to be eating outside the home), and especially if s/he uses a mix of different types of insulin via multiple daily injections.
The suggestion that the mere possession of a hypodermic needle is enough to warrant arrest suggests that some (perjorative deleted) believes that
it is illegal to have a (possibly inherited) autoimmune disease?!?!?
