Ed Forchion - AKA NJ Weedman

TENTATIVE: NJ Weedman is currently in jail for marijuana possesion. He has a hearing Tuesday March 12th. See article on Ed on our website.

Robert Edward Forchion, also known as NJWEEDMAN, is a cannabis activist and a former candidate for various New Jersey elected offices. Ed identifies himself as a member of the Legalize Marijuana Party and campaigns primarily on the issue of cannabis legalization. Forchion has done various stunts to bring attention to cannabis legalization, including smoking cannabis in front of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, as well as attempting to legally change his name to NJWeedman.com.

At the age of 15, Forchion smoked his first marijuana cigarette and was "immediately impressed by its medical healing powers, in regard to his asthma." By age 18 he was a regular user of marijuana, and he dismissed the Surgeon General's claims of its harms as "propaganda and Christian superstitions".

In 1995 Forchion became a practicing Rastafarian.

He proudly admits he was a "marijuana smuggler", driving hundreds of pounds of cannabis from Arizona border towns to east coast cities such as Cleveland, Ohio, Philadelphia, New York City and Camden, New Jersey. His Mexican/Cuban suppliers in Arizona were the first to dub him The New Jersey Weedman, because while other drugs were available for transport he only wanted to transport cannabis.

In 2010 Ed was pulled over, searched, and arrested for having a pound of pot and $2,000 in his car. In October of 2012 a jury used the concept of Juror Nullification to unanimously find him Not Guilty of distribution.

Tatiana Moroz - Lover of Liberty, Singer, Songwriter

Tatiana Moroz is a young sultry-voiced songstress who bills herself as "A singer-songwriter who fights for love, liberty, freedom, and peace."

At age 5 or 6 Moroz told her mother, "Mom, why don't we make a society where everyone works and they share what they make? This way everyone can have stuff equally and everyone will be happy and have enough."

Her Mother's reply was, "Sorry Taniusz, but that's Communism, and it doesn't work."

That set her on a freedom path from reading "1984, Brave New World, Animal Farm, and Fahrenheit 451 in high school" to attending the International Students For Liberty Conference in February where she listened to "Austrian Economics and formal libertarian teachings" to singing for the Veterans for Ron Paul march on the White House on Presidents Day.

"I am not bound to any party," she insists, but "I certainly have found myself identifying more and more with the libertarian mindset for the past couple years."

And it's reflected in her music.

Jim Tosone - Improv Means Business

Jim Tosone is a graduate of The Second City Training Center, the world-famous center for Improvisation, where he studied under Martin de Maat. He has performed with the Improv group Demented But Mobile at Players Theatre, Music Theatre Works, and the Comedy Cellar in New York City. He currently runs IMPROV Means Business.

Jim brings over twenty years of business experience to every event. His combination of performing and business experience, along with his approachable style, are what makes his workshops so popular in the business community. Jim’s educational and entertaining Improv Workshops, and Improv Sessions for Meetings/Conferences, have been used successfully by clients for major corporations (Astellas Pharma, Bank Leumi, Chubb, Dannon, Leviton, M&M Mars, MetLife, Pepsi, Pfizer, Time Warner), academia (Howard Hughes Medical Institute, New York Academy of Science, NYU Stern School of Business), professional associations (Society for Information Management, Toastmasters International), and event planners (HMG Strategy, Richmond Events).

As a libertarian (and NJ Libertarian Party member), Jim will present a workshop on Improv. What does this have to do with being a Libertarian? Well, the best Improv groups (think of the players on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”) are self-organizing groups that create meaning spontaneously, without a leader or central planning. An Improv scene, like our social and economic lives, is a complex adaptive system in which local distributed knowledge (that of each individual) is critical to what is, in essence, a bottom-up process of co-creation.

Gigi Bowman- Patriot, founder of LibertyCandidates.com, candidate for NY State Senate

Gigi is a Real Estate agent from Long Island, New York. In 2009 she began LibertyCandidates.com which vets and endorses candidates from all parties for all offices, national and local, helping voters determine who is actually liberty minded.  They have a vetting committee of 125 and growing. In the 2010 election, Liberty Candidates endorsed 235 candidates of which 12 candidates went on to win their seats!

In 2010 she organized a protest of TSA Body Scanners at Kennedy Airport and was seen live on Good Day New York, Fox Five alongside Isaac Yefeet, former head of security for El Al and now an aviation security consultant in New York.

Gigi was appointed NY State Caucus Leader for FreeandEqual.com and is Vice-Chair of the Suffolk County Libertarian Party. Along with vetting 2011 and 2012 Liberty Candidates, Gigi co-organized “LibertyFest NYC — Bringing Liberty to New York for 9/11” with Patriot Polls creator Ian Cioffi, TruthSquad.TV’s Danny Panzella, political activist Amanda Trobivich and FreeandEqual.com founder Christina Tobin.

Chris Cantwell - Comedian, Activist, Shameless Agitator

Chris Cantwell ran for the US House of Representatives as a Libertarian in New York's first congressional district in 2010. After seeing what a disgrace the American political system had become, he decided instead of participating in the system, disrupting and making fun of it would be more rewarding methods of activism. So when he isn't busy stockpiling weapons and non perishable foods, he is doing raunchy stand up comedy, YouTube rants, and chasing bureaucrats with a camera.

A writer, activist, comedian, videographer, and media producer, he and his works have been featured on Free Talk Live, Adam vs. The Man, FreeKeene.com, LewRockwell.com, the documentary film "Derrick J.'s Victimless Crimespree", and all throughout the internet. His comedy has been featured at Governors Comedy Club, The Flaming Hearth on Long Island, PorcFest's SoapBox Idol, The Free State Project's Liberty Forum, LibertyFest NYC 2011 & 2012, and he is the host of his own podcast "The Brink of Bedlam".

Not for the faint of heart, Chris perpetually seeks to entertain, and inspire people to reject the violence  and coercion of statism in its entirety. Whether by mocking policy and politicians on screen & stage, or by obstructing bureaucrats in acts of civil disobedience & defiance, love him or hate him, he always manages to turn heads.
