FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Jersey Division of Elections certifies Jim Tosone as an Official Candidate for NJ Senate

Tennent, NJ. August 6, 2021 – The New Jersey Division of Elections has certified that Jim Tosone will be on the ballot as the Libertarian Party’s candidate for NJ Senate in the General Election in the 39th Legislative District.

The district is comprised of towns in northern Bergen and Passaic Counties. It has 167, 000 registered voters of which 43% (over 72,000) are unaffiliated. For those voters, who are concerned about both government spending/taxes/debt and interference in their personal lives, Tosone will offer the Libertarian Party solutions.

He will focus on three key issues:

1. Reducing major areas of State spending (by reforming and reducing state spending on Public Pensions, Healthcare, and Schools)

2. Using the savings to reduce state taxes and begin paying down our debt

3. Supporting School Choice (Charter Schools, Home Schooling, Vouchers, Backpack Funding)

A life-long resident of New Jersey, Tosone has lived with his wife in Township of Washington since 1988. He was the Libertarian Party’s nominee for this Senate seat in 2017 and for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018. He was also Vice Chair of the New Jersey Libertarian Party in 2016 and 2017.

The NJ Libertarian Party is NJ's third largest political party, founded in 1972. Its vision is for a world in which all individuals have the right to exercise control over their lives and have the right to live in the manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the rights of others to live as they choose. Its goal is to build a political party that elects Libertarians to public office and moves public policy in a libertarian direction.
