Become a NJLP Member/Confirm your membership is up to date In order to be endorsed by the New Jersey Libertarian Party you must be a dues paying member of the party. If you are not a dues paying member at the time of the state convention or during regional approval, you WILL NOT be endorsed - no exceptions. → Become a Member → Check your Membership status
Fill out a candidate survey This is the anchor stone for your approval process. This document will be referenced during each of the screening steps. Be prepared to answer questions related to your answers. →Candidate Questionnaire
Be screened by the VP of Political Affairs Once your candidate questionnaire has been submitted it will be sent to the VP of Political Affairs. Successfully be endorsed by the Party by majority vote After being screened by the VP of Political Affairs they may recommend your endorsement to be brought to a vote at the annual state convention. After candidate presentations, your endorsement will be brought to a vote. If you are seeking nomination after the annual convention you will be connected with either your region’s board or the state board who will then vote on your endorsement.
