Vice President of the United States
Mike ter Maat (Libertarian Party) is running for election for Vice President of the United States. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Libertarian Party convention on May 26, 2024.
Ter Maat also ran for election for President of the United States. He lost in the Libertarian Party convention on May 26, 2024.
Mike ter Maat was born in Portland, Oregon. He earned a B.S. in aeronautical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1982, an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1983, and a Ph.D. in economics from George Washington University in 1992. Ter Maat's career experience includes working as a police officer in Broward County, Florida, an economist, an economics professor, and a substitute teacher.

Ken Kaplan

Born in Newark, Kaplan grew up in West Orange, and lived in Rockaway and Livingston before moving to his current residence in Parsippany. Thus, he has a life-long familiarity with New Jersey’s people and issues. His community involvement includes membership in the Livingston Lions Club, where he is a past president.
Kaplan believes in following the Constitution, and that means smaller government, lower taxes, and more individual liberty.

Chris Russomanno
US Congress, District 3
Chris was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. At 17 years old he moved to San Fernando Valley, California. Two years later, he joined the United States Marine Corps and completed recruit training in San Diego.
During his service he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Quantico, Virginia. Chris became a marine security guard and guarded the American Consulate in Saint Petersburg, Russia and the Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In May of 1995, when his service ended, he came back to live in New Jersey. Chris earned an associate’s degree at Mercer County Community College in Criminal Justice and a bachelor’s degree in law and Justice from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). After graduating the police academy in April 1999, Chris became a police officer for the City of Trenton. In December 2005, he left Trenton and worked as a police officer for TCNJ. In 2014 he transferred to Ewing Township Police Department where he worked until retirement.
Chris is happily married to his lovely wife Trish. In 2006, the couple moved to Bordentown Township where they currently reside. Together they adopted a rescue dog named Stella

John Morrison

John Morrison's platform and agenda for his congressional bid stands on term limits. He states that his work is cut out for me as Chris Smith has been a member of Congress since 1980, 7 years before John was born. Having leaders in positions of power for over four decades is something our Founders would have deemed incomprehensible. The 4th district is truly John's home, having family throughout both Monmouth and Ocean County. John wants to ensure that his loved ones have a future free of Government interference, and control. John has also been a public school educator, teaching social studies for the last 12 years, and unlike many other candidates he can speak on how federal and state intervention has done nothing but destroy our students' potential and confidence.

Lana Leguía is a 32 year old resident of Sussex County. A life love advocate of individual liberty, Lana currently is VP of Political Affairs for the New Jersey Libertarian Party, the chapter leader for Ladies of Liberty Alliance New Jersey, and volunteers with other grass roots efforts to bring Liberty to New Jersey. Lana ran for her local school board in 2023, receiving 46% of the vote.
Lana comes from a political family. She is the great great granddaughter of the former President of Peru, Augusto B. Leguía. Though Augusto B. and Lana have diametrically opposing philosophies and political goals, Lana hopes to continue the legacy of public service to her country and community.
